is a white male, Jewish , Autistic (level 2 - Late Diagnosed) ADHD,  experimental artist -

B.1985Walyalup/Fremantle, Western Australia

A multidisciplinary creative,

                 mediums: studio as installation , instagram as performance art, painting as propaganda for my soul, music as art, video art for the music video clips.

A bachelor of arts, major in visual art studio from Edith Cowan University, a remedial massage diploma, multiple certificates in information technology, construction, working with heights & working with confined spaces & a magical & mystical childhood in the Perth Hills in the 1990s underpins the Jules Practice.

 

Born from Polish Jewish convict heritage 0n his Mother's side & then from the English lineage on his Father's side - Jules has attempted to navigate the meaning of his identity through an exploration, research and trial and error- experiencing first walking many diferent paths in life then simply creating his own.


Jules has abundantly exhibited, curated and participated in the managment & promotion of such & has been involved in important cosigning with topshop artists & independent mega-guns™.

Mentored both independently & at the Perth Art Academy supporting proteges to reach self mastery (the point where the student has the full ability to grow independently & autonomously without instructors guidance. Knowledge is Power is Jules mantra when it comes to this. Jules personal philosphy is that rising up from the Apprentiship under a Master's guidance and becoming a Master one's self does not mean at all that they 'know everything' It is the opposite - the New Master™ has the ability now to know Wisdom and Information is infinite & the very process of creation is an endless learning & communication with one's higher purpose. To become a New Master is to know the quest for knoweldge continues endlessly - It is only that the NewMaster™ now embodies this and learns intrinsicly, knowing they can learn and master anything they choose to. This is the ulitimate power. ​


In oil painting Jules researched and gleaned techniques & insight from the giants who’s shoulders he proudly stands upon.

Some of Jules creative output has been powerful, expressive & luminous oil paintings on canvas, that provoke a genuine and honest reflection and meditation on the soul, the feelings associated with the emotiones evoked and the cost paid for spiritual & pohysical evolution & freedom,

In ceramics, Jules brings to reality otherworldy visions to functions as shrines and beckoning stones to summon the muses and celebrate the divine connection we all have to the ever flowing source.

Using all of the elements and compounds available to human kind, Jules creates mythical glazes and experiments with advanced heatwork techniques to create confounding, complex, expressive new works that bleed the edges off the pigeon holes of what society pretends to be able to pigeon hole into the category of 'art' - fusing together mathematics, thermodynamics, physics, chaos theory, philosphy & touch.  Jules has a high sensitivity to touch and uses his senses honed during his fulltime two year diploma study to become a remedial massage (focus on trigger point, myofacial release & deep tissue) instead now on the clay itself, touching and feeling the universe beneath one's hands as a microcosm of the universe simply experiencing more of itself, processing dynamic new awarness never to be and never having been experienced prior.

Often incorporates heavy metals, rare earths, tektites and crystals such as moldavite, tanzanite and Libian gold within Jules spiritual practice - within he context of  ceramic glazes, using new un-marked or tested glazes directly on the the works, creating novel never before surfaces and atomic interactions yet recorded in human history, as there is endless new untried and tested posibilities spiralling out into fractal posibilities. 


Jules' art is all about understanding and learning through exploration, play, scientific theory blended with pure trust in personal intuition which is part of Jules direct spiritual connection to the divine  (chaotic it may seem outwardly).

Observing the 'rules' to then go past them, pushing the mediums to their limits & questioning and breaking traditional boundaries. Through these allowances of curiosity and leaps of faith, non-conformist & unique never before seen works of art are manifested. These works have a true power that is egoless and transends the artist to connect, engage and align with revolutionary socio-economic community discussions of 'reality', the 'statu-quo', personal idenity & spirituality within the eternal metaphysical and the ever spiraling time and place we contextually inhabit and how little we have seen of it all on the quantum realm and beyond. ​
